Fitness Watch Workouts

My doctor recommended getting a fitness watch and I purchased a second hand Apple Watch series 3. I was sceptical about the Activity app but I think there is no doubt it "nudges" you to MOVE. If you move you burn calories. The really good thing is the very accurate Heart Monitor which can work out your personal Heart Rate Recovery rate (ie 2 min after ending a workout). It also displays your Resting Heart Rate over time. I was wondering what the community think about fitness watches in general and how Fitness Blenders fit in to that technology.
