Achieving tone instead of bulk

I don't know if Daniel & Kelii have written an article on this before (if they have, could you please drop a link for me? Thanks)

So, I am one of those people who bulk up really quickly especially for a lady, once I start lifting (thanks to genetics). I love that about my body, but right now, I love what I have and will like to just concentrate on toning without adding extra bulk. This, of course, is because I will like to curb my trouser problems. All the boyfriend style trousers/relaxed fit trousers that are my waist size/ a size up hug me tightly and don't give the fit I want. I don't want this to continue.

So, how can I keep achieving tone (because I love weightlifting) without the additional bulk?
