Hulahooping instead of hitt????

As I now live in a top floor apartment with neighbours below me, I can only do low impact versions of hitt. I was doing day 17 of FB Strong this morning which has quite a bit of hitt in it. I decided to try and hulahoop instead of doing the hitt sections in it. I noticed my heart rate goes up very nicely with the hulahooping, more than it usually does when I do the low impact versions of te hitt. Any ideas on whether that will be just as effective? Loved the combination of hitt and strength in the workout BTW!
