Alcohol and fitness

I just wondered what people’s views were on alcohol and fitness! I’ve drank far too much for many years which I know is my stumbling block in losing weight, when I don’t drink I crave sugar so lose lose! Anyway enough is enough and I though if I can just drink the recommended weekly amount of 15 units with a good clean diet and FB programme do you think I’ll get results? I’m doing FB Strong at the min and I’ve got about 6 more FB programmes I can do back to back! I can see the muscles but there’s a layer of fat which I’m sure is hiding my 6 pack ;) Any words of wisdom? Thanks
