Cycling with sore legs from lower body workout

Hi guys

Wondered if anyone knows if its okay to cycle with sore lower legs from previous strength training? I know your meant to give muscles at least 48 hours rest between workouts and even more if your still sore but does this include cardio bike workouts?

I wouldn't want to ruin any progress but also would like to get more cardio in on my bike on sore days if possible
