Fitbit Users - Activity Trackers Yay or Nay?

So I have had a Fitbit (Charge HR) for over 2.5 years and it stopped working. How that happened isn't relevant, but it really got me re-thinking about using an activity tracker at all. I mean I loved having it but after reading (https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/not-seeing-results-5-common-weight-loss-methods-that-might-be-sabotaging-your-progress) FB's article which partly addressed it..I have been second guessing me need for it. I do feel that it helps me keep on track better but then does it make you overly reliant and take away from "listening to your body"?
