Before or After

Like most of you, my days are usually very long and very busy. I am a mother of 4 and have a full-time job. I leave my house at 6:45 each morning and I don't get home until about 6. Once home the race begins to cook, workout (while my family eats), clean, bathe children, prepare for the next day and get kids to bed (on occasion I might take time to talk to my husband too😉). I really want to start working out in the mornings to free up some time. Anyway, my question is: if I want to work out in the morning, do I have to eat first? Getting up at 4:30 to workout is hard enough (I hate mornings) but getting up at 3:30 to eat first just sounds like I'm going to quit. I've heard different opinions from "experts" and just wonder what you guys think.
