Homemade Baking: Thoughts?

Hey guys!

I was just wondering what your opinion is on home made baking/snacks. I've grown up in a big family, and either my mother or my sisters or myself would do some baking every week, which we would eat for morning/afternoon tea. We loved variety, so we would have biscuits (Anzac, chocolate chips, ginger, honey etc), slices (Anzac, chocolate etc) or cake occasionally. I love baking, and I enjoy eating sweet things... we hardly ever have junk food, or eat out, so almost all our food is home made. However, we always have dessert (normally a small serving of ice cream) and I often have at least one morning/afternoon tea snack (a biscuit or muffin etc). I was always relatively confident that it was acceptable to eat that much "sweet stuff" every day, because I consider everything else to be very balanced in my diet, and I often get hungry if I don't eat my little snack, or get crazy sugar cravings if I don't eat at least something small and sweet.

Sorry about the rambling (I need to get better at being concise :P) but my question is:

Is it healthy to eat a small serving of home made baking every weekday, for a snack?
