Hands hurt during yoga

Hey there! Wondering if anyone can give me advice. Ive done yoga in years past but I’m currently in week 3 of FB Low Impact. Super out of shape, but getting there quick with this program! I have a ton of trouble doing Downward Dog and then any subsequent poses or stretches in/out of it because of piercing pain in the middle of the heel of my hands. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to reduce that a bit? Is it just refocusing my weight or is there a tool I can use? I don’t want to miss out on a large portion of the workout! Thanks
