Humbled by Pilates...

I was feeling really frustrated on Saturday as I tried to do a short but intense cardio workout with Daniel. I couldn't finish the routine, took too many breaks and felt frustrated. So I switched up my workout plan and instead chose two "easy" leg-focused pilates routines:

I completed both workouts with relative ease, happy to have my workout complete despite the earlier failure. Now, my legs are the strongest part of my body, I work them often and hard and they have a high endurance, but these two very short pilates routines seriously HUMBLED me. I have never been so sore so quickly. I spent Sunday stretching out my legs and I'm still a bit tight today. I'm seriously impressed at how much my body was challenged by a short workout where I didn't even break a sweat.

Moral of the story: don't underestimate 20 minutes of exercise, it can still kick your butt and it's definitely worth it.
