Opinion piece: Stretching is still a workout!

People often refer to stretching as a rest day activity, presumably bc it doesn’t jack up one’s heart rate, drown one in sweat, or blast one’s muscles. But, for me, flexibility routines are a crucial part of building the body I’m working toward and building the MINDSET I’m working toward. From my perspective, it’s not intensity that defines a workout, but the WORK itself accomplished that pushes me toward my goals. So, here’s to today! My muscles are loose and primed for leg and glute day, tomorrow, and my mind is clear and focused for what the tasks I’m working on today.
