I was wondering if there are good alternative exercises for lunges and squats, which train the same muscle groups.
This because I have an old knee injury coming back (not from fitness ;) ) which give a really limited range of motion while doing lunges and squats. Lunges really are nearly impossible, squats are doable if I'm really careful (but on the bad days I'd like to do an alternative exercise).
Note: I have an appointment with a doctor/physiotherapist in the planning, but they are extremely occupied these days and in the meantime I'd like to keep sporting. I really listen to what my knees are telling me and so far fitness is fine, as long as I skip the lunges and be really careful when squatting :)
