8 week program 3 times a week...?

Hey FBFamily

I'm wondering if 3 days a week of the 8 week FBFit2 program, (that I own) , whether it'd be a good idea to follow the 8 week challenge partially or just do total body 3 times a week HIIT and strength or toning (on mentally lazy days I go for toning I fool myself that it's easier😄)...?
