Monday at HKS (with added Pals), October 12th πŸ¦ƒπŸ₯žπŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‚πŸ‘

Hello blendfriends, and welcome to Monday. Please feel welcome to read and to post here, we're always happy to chat. It's a holiday πŸ¦ƒ here and presumably for many other North American pals. I for one am quite grateful for the three-day weekend! I think our special meal will just be sourdough crepes πŸ₯ž and that can happen in a little while after my workout. Crepes are a delightful way to feed (and then eat) some sourdough without making bread.

After a decent rest yesterday, I'll go back to closing my garden plot today πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ‚. Our borough has made clear that we must have everything cleaned up by the end of the month, leaving no "personal items" (no stakes, supports, etc.). It's easy to be a bit neglegent at the end of the season, but not this year! Other than gardening, I haven't decided on a workouts, but bodyweight is the way to go for me these days. I tried one of Erica's posture workouts with weights earlier this week, and my poor elbows and forearms complained for days. I remember Ivett had problems with elbows a couple times, too, and I always admired her perseverance getting in some fairly intense workouts in spite of that. I do miss Ivett and her dry humor. It's funny how much we can enjoy each other's company, even on a screen. After a thought from Marcus Aurelius yesterday, here's one from his admirer Michel de Montaigne (his Essays are definitely worth a read) : β€œI know that the arms of friendship are long enough to reach from the one end of the world to the other.” So I'll wrap this up being thankful for blendfriends who reach those arms out and share their days here. Wishing you all the best possible Monday.
