HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group September 19th

Good Saturday morning!

I haven’t posted since Tuesday because the 2-day off-site meeting at work left me depleted of any energy, and because I haven’t exercised in a long while and I felt like I didn’t have anything to report.

I am now dealing with extreme pain in my left Achille’s tendon again. I haven’t walked much, so that can’t be the reason for these flare ups. I have no idea why this is happening. I started doing the PT exercises that I was assigned when this issue first occurred years ago. Doing 10 calf raises is incredibly difficult a this time. Stretching has very limited range. I’m also dealing with occasional hip and shoulder pain. It feels like my body is falling to pieces šŸ˜•

I won’t be going for walks, but I will try to exercise today, after we take Bilbo to his second training class. The trainer has agreed that he can continue with the courses, even though she usually stops these ā€œkindergartenā€ classes at 16 weeks of age, because he’s still young and she couldn’t start her classes again until last week, after she suffered a broken an arm earlier this summer. Bilbo now weighs 21 pounds, he’s much bigger than the other puppies in the group. He’s currently sleeping next to David on the couch.

Other than taking Bilbo to his class, we’ll do our usual weekend grocery run and housecleaning and David will cut the grass. He’s still dealing with seasonal allergies, poor guy, so he’ll wear a mask and glasses, in the hopes that he won’t have a big reaction. He won’t let me cut the grass out front, so can’t help him there. We’ll have a vegetarian taco pie with Mexican rice for supper, and it will be David’s choice for movie night. What are your plans for today?

Wishing everyone a great day šŸ™‚
