Monday at HKS (with added Pals), September 7th βπππππ
Hello Blendfriends. Happy Labor Day to those who have the holiday! It's kind of fun to start the thread on Mondays, there are a lot of holidays ποΈ
It's a holiday here, for sure, and we've got a gorgeous late-summer day ahead of us. Theoretically neither too hot nor too cold. It really is the best time of year. I plan to start by hand-pollinating my squash in the garden. It would seem the bees are letting themselves get distracted by the riot of nasturtiums that surround my last squash plant -- the fruit are just dropping off, unpollinated. A shame really, usually they love the squash. I've even seen a bee taking a nap in the heart of a squash flowers before! Hmm. I wonder if it's hard work for them, collecting the nectar from such a large flower. Certainly someone's been visiting all the tiny tomato blossoms, and the garlic chives are all abuzz. But that's okay. I can be the bee for once π (pic above is from an AI image service, I just knew that one would exist).
I'm just having my morning coffee, so I'm not sure what workout today will hold for me. This staycation sees me really going against my usual chronotype, usually I would be wide awake by now. It may just be that I don't have any pressing plans. The morning is a "me" time; I always love doing my own thing before I have to get on with work or any other obligations. So far the only orientation I feel for a workout is that my lats are still feeling the burn from that floor-scrubbing I did yesterday. So lower-body or core, or maybe it would be a good day to check out Kayla's new express mobility challenge. The mobility workouts on here are such a gift π, especially on recovery days (and weeks, and...) Have you tried the new challenge? What do you think?
Yesterday we watched the animated film Flow π. It was beautiful! I recommend it to anyone, especially on here where there are so many cat-lovers π. And in the spirit of that film, here's a thought for today: βLove all, trust a few, do wrong to none.β (William Shakespeare)
