Cycling 2000 kilometers in 30 days

Hi FB Family!

I wanted to take a minute right here to thank everyone on the FB team for making my August adventure possible. I've been with Fitnessblender for more than a decade now and have done thousands of workouts, flipped my whole perspective on fitness, overcame my eating disorder, fell in love with strength training, and managed to turn workouts into a daily habit that allow me to tackle whatever comes my way.

Last year, I fell in love with long distance cycling and treated myself to a new bike this year. I cycled through five countries and managed more than 2000 kilometers in thirty days - cycling between 70 and 130 kilometers a day. This was one of the hardest but most rewarding adventures I have done in my life so far and I am looking forward for more! In between writing my Doctoral thesis, working at the university, and juggling everything else in between, it was a really good break from all complicated issues of my usual daily life. Plus, I love camping and being outside, seeing new landscapes and meeting new people every day! In the last six months, I cycled more than 3000 kilometers in total, exploring parts of Germany and the Netherlands in spring. I am so absolutely proud! Cardio and endurance training is really not my strongest suit, as I am usually heavy on the strength-training side of things haha.

Again, thank you to everyone on the FB team, especially to Kelly and Daniel. I am not exaggerating if I say that the two of you really changed my life ten years ago. I probably would not have been able to do this trip mentally or physically without all these years of training.
