Monday at HKS (with added Pals), August 31 πππ΄
Hello Blendfriends, old and new -- please feel welcome to read and to post here, we're always happy to chat.
The last day of August has started here, beautifully sunny and cool. Every time we get a day like this, I hold it to my heart -- truly my favorite season! Which is why whenever I can, I book vacation time in early September. Not a lot, since it's always a busy time, but enough to enjoy. This year, it will be a staycation due to the unending repairs, but I'm determined to enjoy the season, locally. We have good bike paths and parks to walk in, after all.
So, in honor of appreciating the small and local things, here is a thought from Proust : βThe real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.β
Today I've planned to do a short workout from Kayla upper-body mobility with foam rolling. My (very mild) PT exercises seem to be helping a bit, but I'm feeling a bit of a click when I move my shoulder joint (didn't one of the trainers call them snap crackle pops?) so I'll see if I can work that out. After, I've got plenty to do, of course. Vacation days get us away from our desks, but nature abhors a void, and so does housework.
