Custom workout share: Total body strength with descending reps
Hi Blenders!
For those who may not read the Daily Check-in threads during the weekdays, for the month of August (my birth month; my actual birthday was on the 13th) I've been doing some of my favourite workouts. To finish off this month, I combined two of my long-time faves from Kelli: her original two descending reps workouts.
Given there were five lower body strength exercises in the main portion of the lower body workout, but only four pairs of upper body strength exercises, I added a fifth pair of upper body moves. I also eliminated the Pilates burn-out at the end of the lower body workout, as well both warm-ups and cool downs.
---
Five groups of three exercises (two upper body, one lower body); three sets — one each of 10, 8, and 6 reps in an ABC pattern. Dumbbells and/or bands required, bench optional.
Warm-up and cool down not included. When I timed this today, it took me 81 minutes to complete it.
Group 1:
Bicep curl
Tricep kickback
Squat
Group 2:
Reverse fly
Chest press
Deadlift
Group 3:
Overhead press
Pullover
Curtsey lunge to side leg raise (total reps instead of reps per side)
