Finger strength limiting weights - advice?

Hello! I have been doing strength training with FB for over 5 years, and the whole time, lack of finger strength has reduced how much weight I can use for exercises where my hands are pulled down (deadlifts, lunges, etc.). My fingers just start aching and I have to use, say, only 9lbs for an exercise where I could otherwise use 15lbs. I have no problems otherwise using weights in my hands for things like presses where they're not pulling on my fingers. I also use my fingers a lot for typing, horse riding and playing the oboe with zero issues. Does anyone have suggestions?
