According to the forecast, this is going to be just about a perfect summer week -- not too warm, with a good mix of sun, clouds and rain. I am relieved to see the back of that heat we had all last week. I was up early, but able to clank around with my weights quietly enough. I started my scheduled LIR3 total body day, but I could feel my knees popping already during the warm-up, so I inserted that 10-minute booty burner by Patrice as an extended warm-up and that got everything properly aligned. And, as today's thought, I offer you the self-talk I used to go ahead and do today's workout, instead of defaulting back stretching, like I thought I needed: "a good balanced workout with a cool-down will probably work out those kinks just as well. And if not, stretch more, afterwards." So, mix it up, folks, it works!

After a conversation with Alina on fiber maxing I've tried adding fiber into my diet (chia to my overnight oats, hummous as my late-afternoon nosh, berries with everything). Despite it being a pretty minimal kind of "maxing", I felt fuller for much longer, so the experiment will continue. Tonight's supper will be salmon pie with carrot salad and more chard. I am surprised to like chard as a straight-up vegetable. Had any good culinary surprises lately?
