The other day I was at my son’s to look after the grandchildren and hubs, who had not come along, told me he had done a 70k bike ride…. What?!?! You dare go on a bike ride without me!!! Can’t have that, can we now? So….
Perfect weather today, let’s get the ebikes out. Hubs and me did a part of the route he did and then took some beautiful detours on the way back. With this being in the Purbeck hills and along the south (Jurassic) coast of the UK, there was a lot of height difference, including lots of climbs. With a lot of it being on very rough terrain, my arms are shaking now. But the views were so worth it and what’s more the sense of achievement!! Hubs told me several times I was doing better than him: I was in eco mode for the bigger part of the route. Only on the very steep rutty bits did I switch to standard or high mode. When we got home I was determined to do more than he had done so I gave him the housekeys and on I went, getting to the grand total of 75km!
Proud of myself, that’s for sure. Not bad for a “little old lady” who will be 69 years old in two weeks time! Photo above and below: was it worth it?!?!
