Hello, lovelies, and Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing well. Here in Europe we're dealing with our first heat wave of the season so, if you're affected, make sure to stay cool!
Fitness wise, I'm doing Flex and free styling lower body/core workouts. It's going well. Recently came across some pictures of me from 7-8 years ago, man, is body dysmorphia a villain. My arms looked great and I never even knew. To be fair, I wasn't exactly paying attention at the time because I was more focused on hating other parts of my body (which also looked fine actually) but it's depressing to think that we're so brain washed into hating ourselves that we can't even enjoy the good things while they last.
I feel like my mindset has changed a lot. Recently I was talking to a friend about Ozempic and I was surprised to find that I wouldn't be interested even if it were available to me. For me, a decreased appetite means lousy workouts and anxiety due to low carbs intake so it wouldn't be worth it. That doesn't mean I'm happy with how my body looks, just that I've come to value function over aesthetics.
