HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group May 20th

Welcome to Wednesday!

First, major apologies I did not post last week. I had real intentions and remembered on Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday, we were so busy it slipped my mind. Thanks if someone posted.

My mother's visit was ok. The weather after the first three days really changed and it was cool and windy. We still managed to get the full program completed and only got rained on for 5 minutes. Still, it seemed to really disappoint her, and we hear comments nonstop about the weather not being what she wanted. That really gave a negative vibe. I also had to remind her that the day she left, it was snowing in Winnipeg and there were no leaves on the trees. My husband put a lot of effort into planning things we could do. She is also very attached to her cellphone and was constantly on it, and not paying attention to where we were. Even at a nice dinner in a restaurant, we were sitting waiting for her to put it down so we could eat. I am annoyed I had to waste holidays on this. I found I eventually disconnected and just did the motions to get the day over.

We did get lots of steps, and my body apparently slipped into recovery mode. I did get one run in and one gym session. Maybe more would have helped me manage the visit. There was just no time.

Enough whining around. Time to get back to business.

Leftover taco salad for dinner and either a run or gym session after work. I did go to the gym last night and had a blast. My bike blew a tire on the way to work yesterday, and now I am on foot.
