The first time I worked out with Fitnessblender was in 2015! Can’t believe it’s that long ago with one of the 5 day challenges.
Many seasons and a decade later, I’m recommitting to my wellness journey.
I’m 41 now but mentally in a much better place and this time I want to trust the process and build consistency.
Goals - are to feel vibrant energy, get strong, fit to pursue outdoor activities like biking and hiking and maybe even pick up a sport next year.
In my childhood and most of my life I gravitated towards books, dance and arts (not to say that’s changed) I just want to build on that and also expand my life experiences. I never identified as being athletic and I want to shift that.
In 2019 I completed FB Sweat and felt my fittest. My consistency and stamina dropped with my work stress and other reasons but here we are.
My knees and joints are more sensitive now, I’m at 75kgs at 167cms tall, I’d like to drop some weight to get in a reasonably healthy range for my long term health, for my knees, and for ease.
My hormones also have shifted a bit, so luteal phase in the month feels a bit rough since a year. But I’m determined to keep at it and for long.
I’ve never posted much before; this time I’m hoping to post once in a while to keep myself accountable.
Today I started with FB low impact R3 and it felt so good to workout with weights and practice the basics, working out and movement is a privilege and a blessing. Got my steps in through the day around 7600. My nutrition strategy is home cooked meals full of veggies and protein but I will also have carbs, striving for balance, no deprivation.
Thanks for reading. For others in their journey, I’m cheering you on as well no matter where you’re at. ✨
