Working Out Post C-section

Hi, all!

I'm 8 days post C-section after a rough 26+ hours of labor. Things did not go as planned and I elected for a C-section as opposed to potentially putting my baby through any further stress.

I did my Fitnessblender workouts all thrigh pregnancy, up to the day before I went into labor. I modified as needed but had continued to lift, strictly no more than 40 lbs as instructed by my midwives.

I posted before, during pregnancy, about my struggle with feeling that I was losing strength, given the combination of pregnancy and POTS, but I kept at it. I have done Fitnessblender workouts for nearly 15 years now.

I had a round, muscular booty until my C-section. Now, I swear, it has DISAPPEARED. I am once again struggling to cope with changes. I know rest is very important right now but I'm so used to being active that not being able to hit that "workout complete" button five days per week is hitting me hard. I want to leap back into things but will wait until I get the all clear from my doctor. I know I will need to take things slow.

To top it off, during labor, I was essentially on my left side for an entire night because it was the only position my baby tolerated. I was pumped full of fluids and am very swollen. I think all the swelling and the fact that I was stuck on one side for so long has caused some nerve compression in my left hip. I am having issues with abducting that leg and I cannot even sit "criss cross apple sauce". Does anyone know of any gentle stretches, etc., that can help this as I heal?

Additionally, when I CAN get back to gradually being more active, does anyone have suggestions for where I should start with workouts?

Thank you so much.
