Good Saturday morning!
Some Easter chocolate will be enjoyed today for my weekly treat, including a Cadbury Creme Egg. Not exactly high quality chocolate, but it’s a must for me this time of year. I will also have a handful of dark chocolate covered almonds, for some fibre 😂
What are your plans for today? Is the weather good enough where you live to enjoy some time outside? We should have a decent day here, so David and I are planning on going for a longer walk this afternoon. It will coincide with a special event on his Pokemon Go app, so he’s looking forward to it. That app is really making him walk more and spend more time outside, which is great.
He’ll also clean his bbq today, to cook outside for the first time this year. We’ll have leftovers for supper, to which he will add the meat he will cook. We’re learning that we have to adjust the quantities of certain foods that we’re making, like pasta and rice dishes, because he needs to eat smaller portions of those. He’s lost 10 pounds since the beginning of the year, and he wasn’t even actively trying before now, so he’s on the right path.
I feel like baking, so I may try making a banana bread that seems to be low carbs. I have bananas in the freezer that need to be used up, and the bread is made with almond flour. If you wind up baking any sweet treats this weekend, please share.
