Over the past few years I gained a ton of weight while on an antidepressant that I'm told is considered the worst for weight gain. I switched off it two months ago and have been losing weight at close to the maximum rate that's supposed to be safe and sustainable (a little under 1 kg per week).
You're supposed to up your weight training to avoid muscle loss, but I haven't been working out regularly for a couple months and likely will have to reintroduce it very slowly to avoid triggering a recurring injury.
I also learned recently that I should be consuming more protein than usual, but am having trouble getting enough.
Any advice for how I can avoid too much muscle loss?
