Weighted Squats - Front rack, Goblet, Suitcase. What is the difference in outcomes (strength building, mobility etc.)
I find I can focus more strength on the back of my legs (more Glutes less Quads), get better body positioning (knees angle, upper body & overall depth), shift more weight into my heels, experience less lower back strain and use heavier weights with a suitcase squat than with front racked or goblet squats.
Are the three types of squat interchangeable, in terms of what they work, can I switch to suitcase squats everytime a workout calls for squats or am I missing out?
I have worked hard on my front racked and goblet squats trying to get my technique and posture perfect, but neither seem optimal for me, and I often end up with lower back strain or having to lower my weights. Suitcase carrying is my forte :-)
