But it is a segue into a thought I had while on my walk last night. Skip to below for normal chatter.
This 10.000 steps thing. Have you read into the background? I will give you a quick summary. It was actually the result of the Japanese company that manufactured pedometers. It was shortly before the Tokyo Olympics in 60s to target a sedentary lifestyle. The symbol for 10,000 in Kanji is 万, which looks like a person walking. There is not really any scientific evidence supporting 10.000 as THE number.
So, I was wondering, since I am biking more and still keeping up my regular activities, is it so bad that I am not getting 10,000 steps? Should I put this pressure on myself to also achieve that goal? Information can be confusing. I am still moving around at work and being active outside of work. Sometimes that does mean getting more than 10,000 steps, but sometimes not. What is your take on this?

What is going on in your part of the world?
Today, I will go to the gym and do some chest and back work. My legs are still talking to me, but I will still do some lower-body movements as well. Two from physio, plus deadlifts. Monday at PT, I had to realize that body-weight-only work can kill you if you do it well. I am considering this when I am deciding on the exercise and weight I use.
Dinner is leftover Thai chicken meatballs from the freezer in a curry sauce. They are so tasty. The freezer and pantry are almost empty, and we still have a couple of weeks until the new kitchen.
Feel free to stop by and share! Everyone is welcome here.
