Hello Blendfriends, welcome to our Healthy, Kind Support post for today. Everyone is welcome to read and post here!
So, I wasn't planning on an in-office Monday this week, but then I looked at the weather for midweek... 20 mm of freezing rain? I think I'll stay home *then*! Welcome to the see-saw of March.
This weekend I finally read a library book I've been renewing since the holidays, a 'serious comic' about living with stress. Once actually I started reading it, it went quickly and I learned a few things. I think wellness will probably turn out to be like fitness: I resisted working out for a long time, for no good reason, and once I started I felt so much better! One of the figures in the comic that resonated with me was Kristin Neff, who works on self-acceptance and self-compassion. Here's a thought from her:
βRather than wandering around in problem-solving mode all day, thinking mainly of what you want to fix about yourself or your life, you can pause for a few moments throughout the day to marvel at whatβs not broken.β Kristin Neff
And speaking of what's not broken, I'm back to doing my routine. After all, I curated it myself to be workouts that I can do with my fragile back. Yesterday's workout with Nicole was great. Today's choice involves push-ups π¨ I'm questioning my choices here, see the meme below π
