Hi Blendfriends!

I hope everyone is doing well!

We had a great time on our holiday. We were at the Red Sea and enjoyed a lot of sun, snorkelling, relaxing, and we did a day trip to Luxor. We visited the Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of The Kings (Tutankhamen tomb), Temple of Karnak (my favourite) and a Nile cruise. My husband is very much into Egyptology, so the long drive was worth it for him.

The food was very nice. Not a lot of fried food but lots of grilled veggies, nice tabbouleh salads, and seafood. I loved all of the baba ganoush, muhammara, and tahnini. It was also interesting to see that it was all men working. Women seemed to be in more organizational roles and not cleaning or serving. There were problems with wifi so it was really a chance to disconnect. The desert is really crazy. You see it in photos and on tv but that does not do it justice. I saw a lot of interesting fish while snorkelling. It was so easy directly from the shore to access the coral reefs (protected and marked). My favourite was the parrot fish. So colourful.

So, great holiday but now back to the grind. I hope to get to the gym tonight for real. I plan to keep it easy and just use some machines so I do not have to plan too much. Maybe once I am there, I become inspired.

We are still eating beet soup that I pulled from the freezer and grilled cheese. We need to get groceries at somepoint.

What is on everyone's plate today? Everyone is welcome!
