HKS & Pals accountability Group March 2nd ππ§πΆββοΈ
Hello Blendfriends, welcome to the Healthy, Kind Support post for Monday, posted a bit early and edited to include our Monday buddies from the Perspiration Pals thread. This is probably a good time to mention that everyone is welcome to read and post here, we're happy to chat with you!
The reason I'm writing this up on Sunday night is just that I want to have time to head to the office in the morning. I'm trying to take advantage of our nice offices a little more -- when I go in I can often get little things done with colleagues that I wouldn't have done from home. The fact that I just finished a rather intensive bit of high-concentration work last week helps. And I like the walk and stair climb.πΆββοΈ
I especially need to keep moving right now because I found a new way to strain my back while shoveling snow π€¦. Fortunately, the weather for most of this week will be above freezing, so I won't be inclined to reprise this accomplishment. But still, ow. Brian's recovery stretches for a stiff back were wonderful, and I'm planning to try Kelli's sciatica workout paired with either a short restorative yoga practice, or some hip stretches. If I can get my poor stressed muscles settled back and more or less pain-free in the next couple of days, I'll go back to my routine.
I know I'm not the only one listening to a cranky body and adapting my everyday practice, so I've posted a short quote about virtue in work, and virtue in rest, just so we can remember that sometimes the best thing you can do is take a little time to recharge. And if your personal charging station happens to include a good book, well, that's not a bad thing!
Tonight's supper will be squash and orange soup, probably with a nice potato and green bean salad. I'm trying to eat more salads, because they are so nutritious and easy on the tummy. If you have a favorite kind of salad, please share, I'm always ready for ideas π₯π
Wishing everyone a great start to your week!
Edited to call us HKS & Pals, because Lara made me laugh last Monday calling us HKSPP.
