Hello, blenderz, and Happy Tuesday! How is everyone? Yesterday was particularly dark and rainy so I called in sick at work and spent the day in bed with my book. I started "Six of Crows" by Leigh Bardugo. I'm enjoying it except for the part where I need to age up all the characters in my head because these kids are simply not believable as seventeen year olds. Other than that, only two more workouts to go and I'll be done with LI R3 and moving on to Abs R3. I've enjoyed both the sequencing and the length of the workouts in this program.
In other news, I'm switching teams because my org will be shut down soon in my location and I'm not interested in moving to any of the locations where it's staying active. The team I'm moving to is definitely a step down in terms of growth opportunities and technical challenges and I'm feeling a bit mopey cause I'm definitely going to miss my current team. As much as the upper management sucks and I've complained about it, I really like both my actual manager and my colleagues. I had my transfer interview yesterday and I'm probably finalizing the switch in early March.
Moving on, let's see what I have for you today. I don't know if anyone here is familiar with Hank Green--brother of John Green who is the author of "The Fault in our stars"; together they're the Vlogbrothers and they've been creating all sorts of educational content on Youtube for over a decade as well as just generally being awesome guys. My interest in him has been reignited lately and I remembered that he made a modern day adaptation of Pride & Prejudice that I binged over the weekend (it's 100 episodes, running ~5 minutes on average). I am recommending it because I think it's really clever in terms of adaptation--you will sympathize with Lydia by the end.
