HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group January 20th

Good Tuesday morning! It’s already the 20th of the month, and yet it feels like this month has been dragging. That’s how January always feels like to me, seemingly lasting forever.

For the first time in almost a week, I was able to stay in bed through the night. But after 2am, my sleep was very light and broken. At least my brain didn’t go into overdrive. I feel somewhat rested. Emphasis on somewhat.

So I will try to do a workout today. I keep trying to exercise right after I finish work at 4pm, and when I am well rested, that time slot works really well for me. But when I’m tired, I run out of energy by 2pm, so I’m going to try to exercise before lunch today. That means finishing my work day at a later time, but it’s the price to pay to find a workout time that works for me on a consistent basis. It’s about trying, and trying again. Speaking of challenges, I signed up for a new 3-eeek challenge at work. We are given two tasks per week to earn ballots for a draw at the end. This week, the tasks are focusing on nutrition: plan 3 healthy and balanced meals, and add a portion of fruits or vegetables to a meal or snack, and submit pictures. I already plan my meals and adding a piece of fruit or veggies is easy, so week 1 will be a breeze.
