Good morning/afternoon/evening, Blendies! Yesterday was the winter solstice, and you know what that means: the days are getting longer and summer is on its way! 😉
But before we break out our bikinis and sunscreen, first I want to thank Ocean and Lea for ghosting over the weekend! Lea, safe travels to Spain!
Okie dokie, what movement do you have planned for today? Or maybe it's a rest day? I'm in the latter camp, although I may do a walk or a stretch. I'm still not 100%.
Food? Anything good? Or maybe it's mediocre because you just need to eat and you don't care what it is? We are doing our annual Grinchmas dinner tonight: roast beast (roast chicken), Who Hash (hash browns), and frozen veggies. I'll make some chocolate crinkle cookies, and we'll watch The Grinch. What will you be eating tonight?
Okay folks, I hope you have a fabulous day, and I'm leaving you with a photo of one of my favorite ornaments. Whenever we travel, I like to buy a Christmas ornament from that place. In 2017, we *drove* from New Mexico to Florida and spent several days on the Gulf Coast. 2016 had been a difficult year, and this vacation stands out in all of our minds as one of the best times we spent together as a family. I love that ornaments aren't always just decorations, they're memories.
And oh, INGE! I had to remember to tell you that I was in a store the other day, and my cashier's name was Galadriel! No joke. I asked her if she changed it or if it was her given name, and her parents actually named her that! She didn't have pointy ears, though, lol!
