NSV!

I have been using FitnessBlender for the past 10-12 years. Other than two pregnancies, I’ve been super consistent with my workouts. I’ve been pretty limited because I only have the Sport 24 Powerblock set (which is still great for upper body days but just not quite enough on lower body days.) I supplement with bands. When a trainer does 3 rounds, a lot of times I’ll do 4 or 5, sometimes 6 if I have time, whatever I have to do to really feel as if I’m “making gains” in my legs.

Yesterday I went to a friends house for the first time and she has a home gym. I had already done my lower body workout for the day (a level 4 with Brian) but I decided to experiment with deadlifting anyway.

So usually I deadlift at most 48 pounds because of my Sport 24 set. I add bands when I can.

I started off with just the bar at 35 pounds. Easy. Then we upped it to 60 pounds. Still easy. I did around 10 reps. Then we upped it to 75. I said EASY! I did 8 reps or so. Then finally we upped it to 100 and I was able to do several reps. At this point, I was like, I don’t want my form to suffer from never using this much weight before.

She does CrossFit and was really impressed with my lifting form for everything and I told her it was all thanks to Fitness Blender. 😊

I’m getting a new set of adjustable dumbbells that go up to 44 pounds per hand for Christmas and I’m excited!
