HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group December 16th
Good Tuesday morning!
Only 9 days to go until Christmas. With my back injury and David and I having been sick, it feels like I am not enjoying the holiday season as much. Normally, I would be going on walks while listening to my Christmas music playlist, I would’ve baked a lot of treats, and we would watch a Christmas movie each night. But I can’t walk or stand still and mix ingredients to bake treats for very long, because my back starts seizing up, and David and I can’t stay awake past 7:30pm, so we’ve watched very few movies. But at least I will be on vacation in two days and I’ll make time to listen to my Christmas playlist and watch holiday movies, and try baking a treat or two.
I was supposed to spend my last two work days visiting stores with one of my District Managers and other business partners, but I can’t because of my back issues. On the upside, that leaves me with more time to complete my work without any stress before starting my staycation.
What will this Tuesday look like for you? Will you have time off during the holidays or does your work place remain open? I’m thankful that because I work in our company’s offices, I can take time off. If I was still an assistant manager in one of our stores, I would only get Christmas and New Year’s Day off. We were not allowed to take any other days off at this time of year.
