Good Saturday morning!

My outlook is a bit better this morning, as my congestion is clearing up and my lower back is feeling better, after suffering intense pain yesterday afternoon. I don’t know how it happened but I took part in a short virtual stretching session from our company’s Health Hub after lunch and afterwards, I was struggling with even the slightest movements.

I identified that it’s my piriformis acting up, so I focused on stretches for that area and I was ok for a bit, but then the pain came back and I was struggling to move again. I caved and took some Tylenol, and David rubbed some medicated cream (Icy Hot) in the area when he got home. I could feel the muscle releasing and managed to have a decent evening and night of sleep.

I know I overdid it yesterday, which didn’t help my lower back. I felt fine in the morning so I shovelled for about 10 minutes. I also emptied the dishwasher and cleaned the dishes. But I sure paid for it in the afternoon. So none of that craziness today, I’ll focus on resting and stretches.

What will you be doing today and this weekend? Any fun plans? Looking forward to a good workout? Some great food on the menu? You’ll find me watching biathlon in the morning, catching up on series this afternoon and watching the new Knives Out movie on Netflix tonight. Just full rest.
