I'm wondering if many people here get massages regularly and how/if you work them into or relate them to your workout routines.
I realized yesterday that I just book one a month and will ask my RMT to focus on an area if I've been working it hard or am feeling the previous day's lifting, but otherwise I've not thought about training and massages. Until now.
I mostly book for the morning and then go for a lovely long walk to prolong the relaxation and good vibes afterwords, but don't generally workout otherwise on that day.
What about you all? Any thoughts on when is a good time to book a massage in relation to your workouts? Do you skip any lifting on that day? Do a lifting workout before or after your massage? Any do's & don'ts?
I'd love to hear from any of FB's trainers or actual masseuses too! 😊
I do know massages are a privilege and a luxury for most people! Happily, here in Canada anyway, my work benefits cover 80% of massage and acupuncture etc, so I am able to budget for it relatively easily.
