Good Saturday morning!

In the Halloween spirit, I share a meme with some wise ghosts. I think I’ll be the sleepy, resting ghost today, since I woke up around 2:30am and I know I will need a nap at some point during the day.

But we do have things to get done today, including grocery shopping and doing some laundry. I also want to stop by Decathlon to see what I can find and use up a 50$ gift card. I keep wanting to go and we never do. And the figure skating grand prix season has started, so you know I’ll be watching the Grand Prix de France at some point. What will your Saturday look like?

Though I will need some rest today, I will continue Flex R2. As it turns out, today’s workout is the shortest one of the program, clocking in at 25 minutes, so I should manage it. Do you have any workout planned for today or is this a rest day for you?

We also will go for a walk at some point, looking for houses decorated for Halloween. When we drove to a nearby town, we saw a house that went all out for Halloween, with life sized glow-in-the-dark green aliens and other creatures, as well as an actual army truck with bloody soldier zombies. The owner was outside and we told him how amazing his decorations are. Our neighbourhood sticks to blow up characters, mostly for little kids. Do you and/or your neighbours decorate for Halloween?

On a totally different note, we took Loki to get an echocardiogram yesterday, after waiting two years for an appointment. It was to check his heart murmur. There’s only one place locally that does this test and they only do it on Fridays, so that’s how long it took for our turn to come. The technician said that Loki was a real charmer, but the moment she brought him back to us, he started growling. He’s our little protector. We’ll have to wait 1-2 weeks for the results. He’s totally fine and crazy as ever, so we’re hoping it’s nothing serious.

I might be able to go back to sleep now, right on cue after being awake for 2 hours. Wishing everyone a great day 🙂
