We decided on a lower level hike rather than go high up in the mountains today. The “waterfall hike” sounded ideal. Well, with the path following along the side of a stream it was up and down and up and down etc …. and the first part being a non-touristic bit meant clambering over rocks and under fallen trees as it is not a maintained path! A fun, but certainly pretty strenuous hike. But the best part was the BEAUTY we were surrounded by and the noise of flowing water accompanying us non-stop. And we never saw so many fungi/mushrooms on any of our hikes before. With tea and lunch break at waterfalls, the day was pretty perfect!
