HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group September 13th

Good Saturday morning! We’re enjoying a long string of gorgeous summer days, where the nights and mornings are cool, and the afternoons are sunny and warm, but not hot. I was shocked yesterday at how much earlier the sun is now setting. That really snuck up on me. Hope the weather is nice where you are.

We are meeting David’s parents at a restaurant for breakfast this morning. We’ll then have to fight Saturday crowds to go grocery shopping. We usually go right when stores open at 8am, when there’s very few people, but it will be close to 10:30am by the time we finish breakfast. Were it not for the fact that we’ve run out of a few food items, we would’ve gone shopping tomorrow morning instead.

I want to drive to a donation center afterwards and drop off items that we purged after we moved. And also get rid of old paint cans. And put away a large ladder that’s been sitting in our basement. It’s been 9 months since we moved and these items have been lying around, it’s time to stop procrastinating and get organized.

I’m also going to try to convince David to finally re-paint the small bookshelf in our living room, so that I can finally put away the last of our books. I know that we own our house and not everything needs to be done at once, but I also know the danger of never getting things done. And having projects like that occupying space in my mind unnecessarily for a long time is a burden. Will you be tackling any project this weekend?

I’ll be starting week 2 of the Flex R2 program today. I was off to a slow start when I couldn’t move my arms for almost a week after the first workout, but the other two from week 1 were great workouts and I’m looking forward to today’s. There’s been minimal cardio involved as well, which is how I prefer my strength workouts to be. Anything on your workout calendar today, or will this be a well deserved rest day? And what are your plans for the rest of the day and weekend?
