Good last Saturday morning of August! How we got to the end of the month already, I don’t know. Life is a blur.

This has been a demanding week. The 2-day meeting went well, but I barely slept while at the hotel. I took a day off yesterday, to enjoy a 4-day weekend and try to recuperate. I spent the day struggling to focus on what I was watching or reading, and falling in and out of sleep while on the couch.

While rest is necessary, I am aiming to have a productive day and check a few things off of my to-do list today. I’m trying to not put any pressure on myself to get everything done in one day, as that leads to task paralysis. One task at a time will be my mantra today.

What are your plans for the weekend? If rain holds off today, we might go see an old cars exhibit nearby. If it rains all day as predicted, we’ll stay in and catch up on series. And we have our movie night tonight. We’re contemplating taking advantage of the 5$ movie tickets and popcorn at Cineplex theatres this weekend, instead of watching something at home.
