It’s finally here, the gradual softening of the intense summer heat into beautiful, liveable temperatures. I was up extra early today so am laying here listening to the crickets singing their soothing song through the open windows as a breeze blows across the room. I welcome late summer and autumn with open arms, it always feels like coming home.
How has the weekend been treating you? Did you do anything productive? Have the time of your life? Collapse into yourself like a dying star?
I raced around like a maniac yesterday morning doing this, that and the other thing before settling down for a few hours. I then raced around again for another couple hours until my body said, ‘Nope’ and I gave up and collapsed into full-on rest mode. Today I aim to do slightly more than nothing: kooky yoga, sit in the garden, then read.
What will you get up to today?
Whatever you do, I hope you take what your mind, body and soul need, whether it be rest, movement, toil or fun, or a bit of each.
