Hi there, Pals! As usual, I nearly forgot to start the thread, as usual, I would have to add… I started the day by going to the dermatologist’s because my lips just wouldn’t heal. (they are sore, cracked, sometimes I look like a vampire after lunch, etc.) I got some creams and was also recommended a lip balm by a popular albeit rather pricey brand.
Since I had an early appointment, I didn’t swap the stretching routine with Brian, normally I would. (I’m currently doing Strength and Power with Brian) I didn’t mind at all but I still don’t know what to do next. I’d really like a nice wall-to-wall strength training program I’ve never done before.
Let’s move on to our fact-finder fragment. Who likes wasps? I don’t… I mean I wouldn’t hurt them but I’m scared of them because they can be vicious. My parents’ neighbours had to get rid of a HUGE wasp nest from under their roof and I was amazed at the craftsmanship of these insects. Did you know that wasps use pattern learning to hunt for prey, like caterpillars? Like primates and other mammals, wasps live in societies where reproduction is decided by who wins dominance contests. Once a reproductive order has been established, the wasps are able to remember who is the highest ranking, the second, third and so on. Some wasps can learn and remember each other’s faces, meaning they can tell individual wasps and their past interactions apart. Like humans, wasps use each other’s faces to keep track of who is who, and to know who not to mess with! I don’t know if they can remember faces of people who destroy their nests…
All right, Pals, that’s it from me today, be good if you can and eat some ice cream. (I might have suggested this before.)
