Hello Blendfriends, happy Monday!
I hope you're all getting a good start to the week. I got my workout in nice and early, a pair of slightly spicy ๐ฅ core workouts from my to-try list. Did you know that a "spicy bird dog" is one done from bear position? Did you know that "parkour bear" exists? I didn't, and my body certainly had no clue ๐ณ! When Kayla says it's advanced, believe me it is! It has felt good to do more strength workouts, but mobility and specialty DPT-led workouts are still important.
And the early start was pretty important since we're forecast to hit 35C (humidex 41) so better to get it done early. The plan is to spend the next couple workdays in the air-conditioned office, before I end up like this cat.
The heat has been relentless. Admittedly, my vegetable garden is doing well in all the heat, as I am used to watering that every day, but I have perennials in "dry shade" at the foot of a tree, and those have been absolutely flattened. So I've taken to watering just those beds as well. I guess the upside is that I won't need the dehydrator to dry my herbs this week, the mint should be done in a couple days.
Now I'll get my lunch made. The 3 litre boxes of Ontario peaches were sold out, so I bought just a couple peaches while I wait for restock ๐ and I am going to have my favorite summer tomato-peach-cucumber salad with lunch. Been looking forward to that ever since the tomatoes started ripening. Speaking of ripe tomatoes, I'll be posting a garden photo for Lynna, who regularly sends her love to our tomato plants ๐งก๐
