Thought I'd check in with an update about my elite exps since people seemed to be interested in replacing grips on powerblocks! 🖐

The repelacement grips are 30mm stainless steel light knurl grips from average joe innovations. They are damn near spotless despite being reduced price factory seconds and were £80 including delivery to the UK. Well worth it as they look and feel amazing - so much better than the huge contoured rubber grips 😍

I also stuck pieces of thin fabric grip tape on the ends of each plate to reduce the clanking sound of the plates touching each other. They now feel much more like a solid block 👍

Finally, I added felt pads to the ends of the adder weights. This took a bit of trial and error but seems to be working well to quieten the rattle of the adder weights in their cylinders. Cotton wool balls in the ends of the cylinders would also probably work well 🙉

I'm so happy with how they have turned out and hope this helps anyone who is looking to modify their powerblocks! More photos in the comments below 👀
