Good first Saturday morning in August!

We have made it to a new month. How was July for you? And what are looking forward to in the next 30 days? In July, I finally managed to reach my goal of walking 30km. I walked 35km, so improving on that result is my goal this month. I was 2 workouts shy of reaching my second fitness goal, which was to complete the Bodyweight challenge, and I realize that I was too much in my head by the end. frozen in place. So this month I want to finish that 2-week challenge and complete another, plus start on the next one on my list, to build more consistency. I also want to keep up with daily stretches and continue to work on my ankle and foot strength and stability.

I indulged in great food and treats during my vacation in July, and gained weight along the way, so my goal is simply to come back to what works for me, planning my meals, tracking my calories, protein and fibre intake, and making sure to drink plenty of water.

Today, there we’ll get our grocery shopping done early for the week and I’ll be doing some housecleaning, then watching some sports, while David cleans our car, and then heads out to a friend’s for the afternoon. For movie night tonight, I feel like rewatching the original Matrix movie.
