HKS (Healthy, Kind Support) Accountability Group July 28th 🌞🔥
Hello all, it's hard to believe we're already to the last Monday of July, where did all those weeks go? It was a strange weekend, with the wildfire haze and the high heat. I was basically Pusheen from the above meme, and my thought for the day is just "Stay cool" (or for our friends in the other hemisphere, "Stay cozy"). There are ways to adapt... my herbal teas are refrigerated these days and I've tried making new kinds of frozen treats. In the garden, all my hot-weather vegetable plants are thriving, but I can't emulate them... this puts a new twist on that old "what vegetable would you be?" question.
Even though the weather has been warmer than I like, morning workouts are still possible. Yesterday I did a total-body weighted Pilates with Amanda, and I felt a pretty good burn in my core 🔥. I love to alternate upper-lower-core, so I always struggle with what to do if I've done a total body workout. But Nicole published a short workout for hip stretches, I think that will be both doable and necessary after yesterday's glute extravaganza.
What's up with you? Found a good way to beat the heat? And, well, what vegetable would you be, if you were a vegetable? I'm thinking sweet pea. Have a great Monday, everyone.
